What we do not claim

Every sovereignty claim we make is one we can defend. So here are the limits, stated plainly, because a promise is only worth what its exceptions are worth.

We are not beyond the reach of the law.

Your data is governed by Canadian law and reachable through Canadian courts. The point is jurisdiction, not immunity. Anyone telling you their cloud puts data beyond all legal reach is selling you something.

We do not offer end-to-end encryption, so we never say we cannot read your data.

Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and we hold the keys, in Canada. That means we could be compelled by a Canadian court, and we will not pretend otherwise.

We are not finished.

The signup confirmation email on this site still routes through a US provider. It carries an email address and a confirmation token, never customer content, and it is being moved onto our own Canadian mail infrastructure. We would rather tell you than have you find it.
